Saga 5 String Banjo

Saga 5 string banjo. Late 70's early 80's Japanese made Gibson RB-250 Mastertone clone. Hardshell case.
Great pro/intermediate level banjo with multi-ply pot and tone ring, rosewood fingerboard. These banjos along with the Gold Star banjos were the banjos that forced Gibson to turn their quality back around in the 80's.

Excellent quality and construction, New Remo frosted head, b-string tuner has been replaced with a newer 5 star planet tuner, non-original tailpiece as well. Few minor strap scratches at bottom of the pot but cosmetic only and will be covered back up when you put a strap back on it. Concentric rings on back of mahogany resonator.

If you're just learning and want to step up to a higher grade instrument but don't have the cash for a newer Gibson (in the $1750-3k range), but want the same quality sound this is the banjo for you.
